Access Statement

• Bryn Melyn Apartments is located on the outskirts of Barmouth on a steep hillside ten minute’s walk from town. The walk back is steep and may take longer. If driving be aware that Panorama Road itself is steep and narrow with sharp curves.

• There is a private car park. Access to the house from the car park is up an incline.

• The entrance to the house has three steps into a conservatory area.

• Comfortable seating is available in the conservatory.

• There is no toilet on the ground floor.

• All apartments are located on the first and second floors, accessed of the communal stairwell. There are sixteen steps to the first floor with a half landing after thirteen. ‘Derwen’ and ‘Noddfa’ are situated on this floor and have level access throughout. The second floor is accessed up a further fifteen, slightly steeper, steps. ‘Eryri’ is on this floor and is level throughout.

• The stairwell is well lit, with motion-sensitive lighting.

• All bedrooms have private en-suite facilities with basin, walk-in shower and toilet. All showers have a slight step into them.

• Two apartments can accept pets, both on the first floor. The top floor apartment, ‘Eryri’, is pet-free.

• Externally the shared decking and sitting area is staged over several levels with steps between each. 

• Assistance is usually available to transport luggage to rooms, please check with us before booking.

• The nearest bus stop is at the bottom of Panorama Road, approximately 5 minute’s walk away, (a steep climb back to the house). The train station in Barmouth is approximately 15 minute’s walk. We can sometimes, by prior arrangement, collect guests from, and return them to, the station. We can also provide details of taxis.

• Due to the terrain some mobile phone networks have limited or zero coverage in the house. The best reception is Vodafone, although other networks may have coverage on the terrace. Free wi-fi is available in all apartments.
